 oh my goodness, I haven't looked at DPC in a while, so had not seen how this was doing and this literally came "out of the blue". Thank you everyone. It almost went PB.
I took this while in the bush and the large animals were quite scarce, so I tried some birds. These Bee Eaters are so pretty.

I love how you've isolated him with your processing. I'm not fond of the noise texture.

Those ruffled feathers are charming.

What a gorgeous bird. The head seems just very slightly out of focus (but still enough), the rest of the body is perfect. The finishing and texture of the green around the bird works very well.
