 used samsung galaxy s9+ for the beach ..
and Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III for toddy and the sky ..

i did this thinking of 'shadow run' which featured my little katee who passed away last June ..


a day till rollover and i'm quite disappointed how this is going ..
it was over 7 for the first three votes then it just kept dropping ..
was 6.4 a few hours ago then i got hit with a couple of low votes .. one of which was a 3 .. so probs wont even get in the top ten .. now 6.2 ..
i did have reasonably high hopes because its a joyful and happy image .. and who doesnt like dogs .. lol .. ;)
also my son-in-law said WOW when he saw it .. which made me think even more that it would go well ..
was a toss up between two edits i did for this challenge ..
this was the other one ..


but i felt the balance was better in the one i entered .. and i really liked the rays of the sun and the clouds and tod forming all those lines ..

ps.. 'shadow run' was so easy to edit .. just shots of katee running towards me .. i just literally put one pic over the other masked bits off etc etc ..
'the beach' was an entirely different story .. i had to separate each toddy from the background which was blank sand and put him in an entirely different scene ..
the object selection tool in photoshop didnt do a great job either .. i had to fix so many places it didnt get it right .. thank goodness for masks ..
if anyone has better ways of separating an object from its scene let me know .. :)
however if you dont get in the top five you're lucky to get a look in ..
