i blew by this during voting, only scoring it a 6. i am sorry. it definitely deserved better from me, and it should have finished higher than it did. this is a remarkable image, one that i am glad to have in my faves!

Great - because it's not another human eye (at least I certainly hope not!!!!). Crisp, clear with so much texture. Love it!

This may seem a hard crit of a potentially great picture.
- spoiled by the reflection. It looks like the photographer at a window (I assume thats what it is). The title only seems to explain away an accidental image caught in the eye.
If you can imagine this hung on a wall as it is and then hung on a wall with black eye plus a catchlight I think you would see what I mean.
It may be that it was impossible to get the shot without the reflection, in which case - well done.
If I was still judging it would have to go in the "nearly pile" which is a great shame. Of course to hang it on a wall would be easy after some simple PS editing (I know you can't for this challenge" so I will mark it as I would have done without the reflection.

i think this would have been a 10 if the person were to the right in the shadows or there was a scenic reflection, but i still gave it a 9.

Technically very nice! Not terribly appealing to this voter...

Amazing detail....good thing they don't look like this at the local KFC.

Crisp and sharp, interesting reflection. I just wish the eye was a little more off centre.

This is disturbing to look at. (That's a compliment by the way!) Great detail. The reflection in the eye itself is a little distracting. I find myself focusing too much on the window frame and what the blob is in the lower middle of the window. Nice clouds though. Overall, an excellent shot.

Oooooooh. . . . this is a really cool one! I like the pink color. It makes it really jump out at you! The reflection in the eyeball is neat too!

BiG WOW! Love the reflection in the eye and the detail around the eye is superb. Now that said, I would love to see this if is possible to have one without the reflection in the eye, that abstract would be great, I think. but there is no lid so is it possible? Hmmmm....This is really great. Good luck.

Nice reflection and colors in the eye almost a good picture in itself.

So weird. Pretty well done, though the reflection is contradictorily busy for such a very simple composition. The surround of the eye looks so like minced beef it's difficult to get past that.

Excellent detail in both the reflection and around the eye. Nice shot.

looks painful . . . sharp detail . . . would guess the subject did not want to hold still . . .

Strange and a little scary - how'd you get this close and get this (chicken?) to hold so still?! Congrats on capturing all that detail!

Wow! It's amazing that you were able to capture such a bright, clear image of an animal like this. Really great job.
