Thanks for all the comments they were very helpful. It seems that the reflections were both liked and disliked - which is about the way I felt about them. I decided to leave them in (rather than a submit a shot will less reflection) because I felt it made the image more unique.

If you flipped it upside down and made your reflection a tad more visible you could have a nice andy warhol effect.

A very good almost textbook example of macro photography. Great shadows, perfect focus, good color, Its just not exciting to me.

Putting this in a softbox would help reduce the distracting shadows and create more even lighting

You can almost make out the reflection of the camera on the kernels (sp?) Nice color.

Good shot, but the reflection on the corn distracts. Either a straight light relection, or no reflection would be better. This reflection just has too much detail.

simply beautiful. the reflections in the kernels are unfortunate - I don't have a suggestion on how to avoid them, so I'm not taking off much.. 9
