 Sublimation of snow at sunrise. 01/26/16 7:21am. Official Estes Park sunrise was 7:16am. It was about +18 degrees at the storm pass trailhead, with 15 mph winds. The atmospheric phenomenon is not all blowing snow. The clouds represent snow evaporating from a solid without melting into a liquid.... the definition of sublimation. Canon EOS 5DmkIII, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS, 1/15s@f/16, ISO 100, lens focal length 70mm.
