(NOTE: Sections in BOLD below are new additions to suit my friends who are so kind as to insist that I am good at photography. I have also struck-out the controversial sections of my original comments.. LOL.. I love you guys)

I'd love to claim some great genius here, but in fact this is nothing more than a I found a beetle trail up a particularly smooth dune face, with just the right light quality.

Had my friend walk past, and ... BOOM! I AM A GENIUS MASTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY! Blue ribbon and PH?!?! That's too cool. Thanks!

This was a great day, we did something like 7-8 miles of hiking.. BAREFOOT!

You're taking too little credit Cory! Seeing the image is more than half the battle, and this is "well-seen." It's a really out-of-the-box composition, and everything just works with it.
