Thanks for great votes and comments!

I wasn't quite sure how this shot would be received. I'm happy it did well.

21_F.gif Neat was right about the idea behind the shot which was having regret for memories from the past. Memories that you almost can't live with.

That's me on the chair wearing my dad's US army trench coat from the Korean war. The image of the face is being projected on a wall. I wanted the image to be moving when I did the capture so I projected this music video by one of my favorite bands, Sigur Ros. If you watch the video, that shot is at the end.

Thanks again everyone.

Three faves WTG!

To me when I look at this, I get the feeling the man has his head cut off because of his shameful past, he doesn't want to reveal himself... has he changed, time will tell, great shot, and if I could've voted on this one I would of given this a 10.

Good title
I get drawn into the image by your setup.
The strangeness is it's strength.
So real and unreal, and somehow connected.

Wonderful work. This reminds me of a war-time propaganda film. Looking forward to hearing the details.

This is completely freaky. Every part of it.

Well done.

Somewhat a journey from childhood to adulthood but with a lot of baggage. I'm thinking Anna Frank as the background image, with all the cultural wartime scenarios and the ultimate positive humanity messages versus the modern day adult version, wrapped in a cultural trench coat with a tight belt of experience, the state of Jewishness now. Maybe a tad dramatic, but hey..

I get a hint of Pink Floyd " The Wall" in this image.

This has whimsy and absurdity, yet the dead serious feel of a Russian World War Two propaganda campaign. Each time I look at this I feel differently about it, but I am drawn to the imbalance, the sharpness and blur. Perhaps I am drawn most to the mystery mixed with sentimentality.

Don't do it, it is all but a dream, no need to end it just lead it your way. A fine image.

A three steps plan:

1) Cut the head
2) Magnify it 10 times over
3) Project it on a large screen for everybody to see

It is then everybody's prerogative to either admire the reflected thoughts, or be disgusted by the whole process.

Love this... gets better each time I view it. I would love to be the man on the steps, watching the face as she moves through time.
