Beautiful image. Perhaps a bit small in the overall frame but perfect focus, catchlight, pose and blur. Without a real flower or feeder visible in the image I feel it was done under A controlled environment.

A studio Hummer! Well,it sorts floods like that.presumably he was in just the right spot of light. Beautiful colors on him.

This entry makes me think of 21_F.gif vawendy. If you're not her, than take this as a compliment. How you've managed having details in the feathers while this little guy's flapping around his wings is just amazing

This is beautiful. I wish there were more separation between the background and the hummingbird (more of a portrait feel), but beautiful none-the-less. It looks like you may have tried to do something like I'm suggesting but were wanting to keep it subtle. I'm curious what your background actually was. I hope this doesn't get DQ'd for removing a background.
