Challenge: Mystery Word Triptych (Advanced Editing VII*)
Camera: Apple iPhone 4S
Date: Jul 19, 2012
Date Uploaded: Jul 19, 2012

No secret - the word is Aidan. Just curious as to how many people know him by name.

The kids and I were down at this stream geocaching in the area. I look for woods and streams on hot summer days to give them a bit of an adventure but then some cool play time as well. These areas are a big hit. I took the three pics with the intention of a triptych but I hadnt really thought about the challenge description. Didnt even really look at it until after I submitted the image. So then I am stuck with what to title it and what the secret word would be. Nothing really makes good sense with the series so with his name I go. Should score crap but I really like the pic. This is a good slice of who my boy is and where he loves to be. Score guess would be 5.3 or maybe even ab it lower. Comment count should be probably high as alot of people do know my kids by name.

Wow -- this one is powerful. The one on the right is truly spectacular! How did you do the "rays" effect in advanced editing?

Far away to close up...nice combination of images. but I have no idea of the word? Could it be as simple as 'son'?

#2, tied with another.
Not a fan of the heavy use of the blur brush, or whatever you actually used, but a solid image nevertheless. I think the strong second image is what really makes this composition work.

The name of the boy. All three are very nice captures - I think he's having a great time. I like that you did them all in black and white and that we get closer to him in each image. Not so sure about the blur that bleeds from the center image into the others. Voted earlier.

Sinister.

No, sorry, that really is the word I get - that look in his eye, with the skulls, add to the straight-faced stare and the lensbaby effect just kinda makes me think of children of the corn meets blair witch project.

Ok: "Son". Very nice tripdych. All three relate very well as a progression and as a visually flowing series. Too bad so many others missed the point.

Is the secret word "Geocaching"?

No, it's more like "Summer" or "Stream".
