Congrats on your top ten finish Jean-Jacques!

Superb composition. I recognize those style of flags too, as I lived in Genevé from 1962-1966.

Your portfolio is a testament to your passion. Well Done Mon Ami!

Excellent B&W. Great whites/blacks and tonal range. Tells a good story and it's also framed very well.

This is such a wonderful image - very worthy of a 10, even with many other subject matter challenges. It really is what I think of when I think of B&W photography as "fine art". Dark framing, historic architecture, modern activities, and a little child playing - oblivious to the sinister side of the world we live in. Congratulations. It's now one of my "favorites".

Lovely. The choice of black and white for this was a good one. The lighting is perfect for the scene - nothing is too deeply shadowed or blown out. Excellent work - 10

Well this just has to be JJ. Very nice to see that more recent stuff, those detached candid studies, being combined with the architectural work we all know you so well for. I like the indignificance of this child against the loom of the archways, and the parallel disinterst of the child in his surroundings. Great balance. I suppose I should add that if this isn't JJ, then it's the best impression of someone's style I've ever seen.

A lovely image. I'm assuming it's a candid - even if not, it has a candid feel about it. Nice use of light and good choice to go black and white.
