I hope you'll post a photo of this castle without the frame part after the challenge is over. I can't wait to see where it is, it's just beautiful! Nice shot.

That's Quebec, right? I think I stayed there! Or is that Montreal? Wherever it is...It's stunning. Though I'd dodge in some shadows in the foreground...bring the focus more into the Chateau, instead of the wall framing it. But beautiful

wonderful image. very moody and atmospheric, and meets the challenge very well. definitely one of my favourites.

one of my favorites....i cant decide if a different angle would have been better though so the bar is not right through the building? You probably had the bar right there intentionally which works well, i just cant decide if i like that part or not. awesome shot though- 9

I really like the outer frame and the beautiful building in the background (excellent contrast!), but the middle frame going right through the building just kind of ruins the effect otherwise I think this would be a top scorer. Still giving high marks. Good luck in the challenge.

Stunning. Both the foreground and the background are interesting, and the focus looks great. Exposure is ideal. Fantastic photograph!

Wow! Not sure if the placement of the bar in the middle works but it is still a wow photograph.

Very nice! Shockingly refreshing to my eyes after all the tree branches that don't quite frame something that's not interesting in the first place. This is my favorite of the whole challenge!!

I love the clarity of Le Château. I think it would have been a stronger image if the bar was not running through the middle of the image, obstrcting the view.

Quebec City? I was there last October. Nice exposure capturing the Chateau and the stone work well. Not certain about the tint or amount of masonry to left but very good shot overall

I would have left it so that you could see more of the upper right hand corner of the frame, so it looked complete. Beautiful shot though

If the bars were not there this would have been a great shot. I like the B&W color effect 7

Great picture. In most of the cases I would be ready to see two 'black-blocks' on left and right, but spreading a bit of light on the walls and making them visible makes the pic really great. High score from me

This is fantastic. I love the daring tilt to the compostiion as well as the technical mastery needed to get the exposure right with the beautiful lighting of the castle and foreground. A master at work. 10
