Challenge: For Dallas (Expert Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-50D
Date: Apr 21, 2012
Date Uploaded: Apr 23, 2012

Thanks everyone for the votes and really kind comments.

I wish I could say this was an original idea but I got it after seeing a composite of a little girl playing with miniature live animals. My attempt doesn't even get to a fraction of how incredible that person's work is.

I'm really happy this did so well, especially since my expert editing skills are pretty sad. I tried really hard to get the elephants and the boy to blend in better with the environment but just couldn't get it right. Well, it's definitely motivation for me to improve on my editing skills. I really want to be able to cross off one of my 2012 goals of placing in the top 5 in an expert challenge.

Nice image and nice B/W. The landscape was perfect but the characters (especially the little guy) are too bright and the shadows could be improved. But a nice try - Dallas will like it :)

This is really an amazing photograph. Love the tones and detail. Honestly, though, I think it would have been way better with just the one big elephant. (voted earlier)

I think this is a BRILLIANT idea...and I bet Dallas absolutely loves it. Only thing I would do different would be to adjust the lighting on the boy you pasted in, so that he doesn't have that bright halo thing going on. Seriously, though...other than that...brilliant...love it.
