What else could i do? This obviously would be an awful emergency!! No more DPC?? And because of squirrrels??

Argh!!!!

Yes, it's a real squirrel, but no, I wasnt foolish enough to give him a match. :)

Unfortunately, my monitor will never be the same. :P

It's also funny how many people thought I gave away my identity by showing my home page. I thought it was great fun that someone actually went and looked. They were fake entries. :)

I'm not sure -- but I think the DQ is because of the images on the home page.

Right before I entered, I realized that the pictures on the left of the screen identified my photos currently in voting. So I grabbed pictures and pasted them over. Since they were obviously not images that were in voting (for anyone who looked), I figured it was existing artwork. So I just grabbed any old photos.

I guess I goofed. I needed to have grabbed photos taken during that week.

Ah well. Such are the vicissitudes...
Disqualification Details
For Expert Editing, all portions of your submission (except textures) must be taken after the challenge is announced and before the deadline, based on the Current Server Time (US Eastern Standard Time) displayed at the bottom of every page on this site. You must ensure that your camera date and time are correctly set to your local time zone before shooting. If the date recorded in your original image file is not within the specified challenge dates, your entry will be disqualified -- NO exceptions!

every time i see this image i cant help but think of what a dumb DQ it was, clearly the intent was to disguise the photographer, not enhance the image.

surely they could have let it slide.

I would blame it on the squirrel, so unrepentant, butter wouldn't melt. All the time he knew that rule would be totally misconstrued. Arsonist!

That is one mean squirrel. He burns your monitor, but not enough to destroy the evidence. Either that or a squirrel sits on the site council.

Hmmm....Squirrels....Wendy?....very funny and well done :) Very convincing melting effect and flames. Having looked at all the entries now I think you will take the third place and yellow ribbon with this one. An 8 from me.

I just tried to identify the two images on the left hand side of the monitor by comparing them to the images in the challenges still running but i don't see them in there. Odd...The bottom image of the two should be your entry in the "Grunge" challenge of which the results are now known but i can't find it in there either. Very strange....what trickery is this?
I don't think it's Wendy anymore as i just checked through Wendy's portfolio and can't find those two images in there either. Also Wendy's entry in the "Grunge" challenge is not the bottom image visible on the left of the monitor.
But of course it's also possible that you photo shopped 2 other images in there knowing some folks would try to identify them and link them to you. Big mystery anyway :)

PS. You may PM me with the explanation. I have already voted so that won't change anything.
