Sorry I haven't entered anything yet. I've been trying to become a member since the 26th but there was an error that still hasn't been acknowledged let alone rectified. So I can't upload anything to my portfolio.

I don't need to list everyone who is doing it since people may come and go. I'll start an actual post your images here page tomorrow since some of us are on different time zones.

Layer it up, people!!!! It's going to be a fun month of August.

You're welcome, J!!

I was so excited by your side challenge that I had to start early :-) My goal is to create one new layer/texture for every day of the month. Let's see how well I do....

Is this stuff too boring or busy? You guys always do such interesting stuff!

Too heavy? I've been searching for good textures and brushes to use. (Like I'll know what to do with them once I find them, lol!)

we should have a 'like' button in dpc . !!! .. :)x

There is another approach which i think may be suitable for which you won't need Photoshop etc, and which i'm going to do, and that is to use the multiple exposure feature in-camera. It makes things a bit more challenging as you need to line things up and keep an eye on the exposure. Also, if your d7000 is like my d300 then there is also a 30sec limit in which to take each shot. This can make for a frantic rushing about as you cram the shots in but it is rewarding when it works. I'm doing my SoFoBoMo book using this method and i made a start a couple of days ago. I'll post up some images in the side challenge as i go on. Here's a handful i've already done...

I tried this, & had a lot of fun doing it. I'm thinking it'd be fun to try it again. It makes full use of the camera in my head, which is where the desired result always is. And it's fun to move the camera fast & then freeze. Thank you for the reminder.

Hey everyone! I haven't been around much lately, but I can't resist joining such a great group. Maybe this will help me to get my groove back. I'm excited to spend time with so many old friends, and to get inspired by new ones. Thanks for getting this going, Judy!

Only the sight of all these fabulous people would see me saying 'COUNT ME IN!'

Hoping to commit to the whole month - my track record lately has been crappy!
