I'm sputtering along at 5.1ish, and me a JUDGE of the damned challenge! Pffft... To make matters worse, 3 of the other 4 judges (I think) have said they had to toss my image from their personal short-lists when I revealed it, as agreed. Oh, the humanity!

I'm really impressed with the dichotomy and divergence of opinions, based on the comments and reflected in the puny score. It's very interesting to make an image which some find repulsive and others find interesting. This has opened my eyes to the nature of art. It's pretty subjective.

I think you've hit the nail on the head Richard, it is indeed subjective. I for one have little clue about fine art but I'm liking the entries that make you
think.

Well this is definitely a humbling experience. I have to say I was intimidated by the subject, but wanted to give it a shot anyway. To declare something I've done art seems egotistical at best, narcissistic at worst. Fortunately DPC keeps the ego in check-

Ya know......maybe that'd be a cool thing. From the pool of images that you pick, you must select three judges from that pool of photogs that you have a majority vote for as acceptable to judge y'all's images. Or something like that.
As long as it's all with good-spirited intent.
