Thanks Don for the posthumous blue ribbon in September Free Study.
By not-so-remarkable coincidence, this was my top pick in that same challenge:

by posthumous

Another case of collusion in the voting, of course. The evidence is clear; it's simply statistically improbable. And we are both so desperate for higher scores. Get the Salem kit on again, Shannon.

I only gave out two 10s this month and only one of those attracted a longer-look comment, so the:

goes to ubique for:

My other 10 went to kevip6 for:

(It really deserved a longer-look comment too but being pushed for time I offered something more cursory that it deserved.)

I gave out a bunch of 9s but only three attracted longer-look comments:

Funny how we all see things in a different perspective.

True some images convey a message, others might meet the parameters of "Art Nouveau" or perhaps even varying forms of contemporary art form, but to me, a lot of the images displayed simply do not meet any of these parameters and I truly am at a loss as to why some find them so attractive.

I guess the old adage: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" truly is true.

That's why it's fun perusing this thread. When I first starting looking, I didn't understand any of the images that were shown here. Now I'm appreciating about 50-60% of the images. (I still don't get 40% :)

It's fun watching your tastes change over time!

Personally, I can explain to you why I like any image. Just let me know which one befuddles you, and I'll add a comment to the image explaining. Obviously, I'm not going to convince you to like it, but at least you'll know there's some thought behind the decision.
