Here's my first attempt. After I got the hang of it I really liked it! I messed up some but oh well! It didn't line up right where the end meets the beginning so I'll have to work on that. This is my new place in Topinabee, MI. I was hoping I'd be able to see the lake across the street a little better.

My first entry in Deb's side challenge. I haven't even picked up the camera since our Alaskan adventure, just been slowly processing pics and working on video.
But I had some time to kill and came across this little one.

I do not fall under this category...however, as a big fan of both Melethia and Bear_Music and all those who DO have "a real sense of aesthetics...etc."...with your permission, I'd like to be a Lurker and provide occasional comments from the Peanut Gallery.

OK, I'll post one, shot this afternoon just for this. Penny has planted some tall grasses with "tails" on them in the front of the sideyard, and they are ethereal when backlit. I went out with the ultrawide to try to capture the essence of this feathery light, the clarity of it, the intensity of it. Ultrawide macro, the only way to see.â„¢

Instant fave!

Here's one dedicated to both, definitely OOB...

May be a bit undersaturated for Bear ;)

Neither my PC or Mac is calibrated right now, and they disagree quite a bit on how this looks. Mostly as shot...just ligthroom adjustments...I was in a blurry mood that day.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!

Yeah, no sense of aesthetics & wondrous awe here.

The way you view and comment shoots that full of holes, too.

PLEASE join in!

I thought this was a cat in the window of this old abandoned house.

If I had to be pigeonholed into a style, I hope people would say I am unpredictable. If I ever started a side challenge, I would ask people to go as far out of their comfort zone as possible. If there is one thing I enjoy shooting as often as possible, it is this. Night lights reflected off rain, blurred by camera motion. This one was shot in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, on my way in. The sky is that lovely blue of just before black. The bottom lights are mirrored off the hood of my truck.

The apartment across from us was on fire Friday night, it was cold and raining but I went out to take some pictures.

Okay....this *IS* the case of seeing something that I wanted to capture the beauty of....she was just walking down the sidewalk, and she was just so lovely I stopped and asked her if she would allow me to shoot her portrait.

Isn't she stunning????

Oh now, Jeb...you'll have to wait until I soak my little camera overnight in spinach to grow into a big and strong Nikon like yours...;-)

I've got some big projects coming up at work so not much time...but I'll be lurking and definitely commenting. ;-)

Well.....I'd say that you should do what works, BUT......should you happen to be having life happen around you, and just happen to see something that makes you want to capture it and show your friends, drag it in here, 'kay?

Oops, I fell in here and couldn't help my self. Kick me out if I get in the way, ok?

Yes...yes...Jeb, Dear, I'll try to come up with something exceptionally purple just for you! (Now, stop teasing me...and go shoot something that captures your generous heart!)

Since Melethia was one of those who inspired me to get out and do more street photography (which subsequently became my primary style of photography), these two should really be in here too:

Very cool! I have a couple from Freiburg, as well as Schauinsland, Schloßberg, and one from Switzerland that I took that could work.

Okay......Howzis?

My little princess with her marching drum she borrowed for next week's Civil War Reenactment......I love it that she'll do stuff with her ol' Daddy!

She's *such* a star! I know, proud papa and all, but she really is a great kid. No hassles or problems of any sort......I'm just *SO* proud of what a happy and wonderful young lady she is!

She's getting credit aty school for being involved in a historical event. I told her what I was going to do, photograph the event, and she just asked me out of the blue if she could participate! (Cue lame, Dork-Dad bursting with pride! LOL!!!)
