Had held just barely above 6 up thru the 80 vote range, but since has dropped under and stayed. Two more days, and maybe the vote scrubber will pull it back up a bit.
But I got 4 good comments, which is the real value of the challenge. :-) |

Why bother? Short answer: I am a voyeur - it comes with the camera. Long answer: I wanted to get the feel of the commenter because while I was impressed with the effort he seemed to have made I felt he had missed the whole point of my photo. (And of several other photos). Which is certainly not a crime. Just some hidden gems remaining hidden to some. Also a question as to how seriously I might want to take the commenter's advice. Never said I liked the comment, though in a way I did; nor that it helped me, but who knows?
ETA: this was NOT teafran's comment, I should not need to say.

My take on what for some reason has become an issue with Tom's comments: I am amazed how on one side I constantly hear complaints about lack of comments on entries, and then at the same time someone puts in approx 15 hours commenting on a challenge and gets a ton of grief for it? hmmm.
Ok, for scores, mine is at it's highest point so far, but I am bracing myself for the inevitable fall that occurs on the last day. Good luck to all! :) |

| I think it is great that Teafran comments on so many pictures, I do think however he should take a little more care about what he copies and pastes, it is a little disconcerting, not to mention disappointing, that he comments on the 'negative effect' of something which doesn't even feature in your picture. |

I do not see the connection at all. IMHO people who vote 3 or less without commenting are trying to hide who they are. That has nothing at all to do with Tom. He comments on all the images, and from the avg score given that he posted he never votes less then 4. So not the same at all.
On a scores note, the last day decline has begun. :( |

It's certainly possible that a title can take away from the presentation of a photo (as well as enhance at times also). As to the baghead part of this...if you had known who it is I'd wager that you'd have PM'd that person already, eh? :-) |
