I haven't tried too many color shots yet, but this one seemed to jump off the screen with some Topaz treatment.

Applied Topaz adjust Portrait Drama at 50% after adding a couple of gradient mask layers.

I just had the same experience with this landscape. And oddly enough the process was almost the same as yours.

Slight Adjustment a ton of detail.

I've been using Topaz lately to recover lost details and to bring back brightness in darker photos. So the end result makes me look like a good photog when I am not lol.

Here is the original and topazed version of my Table entry:

And here is another photo from the same day, taken at Barnes & Noble

fascinating to see the different directions we are taking.

Here's my Darkness entry; as usual it languished in the doldrums of the fours.

Here is the same vase, turned sideways and treated entirely differently:

Nothing too crazy today.

I noticed on their site that they are offering Topaz Clean2 as a free update for Vivacity customers who recently purchased. Does this mean that the current version of Vivacity includes Clean2? It's confusing because they still offer both.

I'll telly ya! It was damn tedious work masking out that background.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up at all with this side challenge. I *did* use Topaz on a lot of my shots from Amsterdam - does that count?

Anyway, always wanted to try the psychedelic setting...

Been too busy to play for the last ten days; go to edit a photo this morning only to get the message 'your 30 day trial has expired' - Topaz obviously works off a different time accounting method to me as I downloaded the trial on 1st May. Not particularly happy.

Edit - just seen the message from Topaz Labs below - I will give that a try, and kudos to them for acknowledging the problem and doing something about it. Looks like it is going to be a wet weekend, so lots of time to play!

Some re-edits based on feedback. I think once you've over-Topaz'd something, it's hard to scale it back!

These are original, first Topaz edit, Topaz re-do:

Sometimes it's fun to mix things that look a little cartoonlike with something that kind of looks real... :P
