I don't do a lot of critiquing here. These challenges are mostly just to show stuff and have fun. I pretty much present what I like and don't care if people don't but mostly likely won't change it either, even at someone's suggestion. LOL No big deal to me. I do these for me. :~) This was brought up last month in a similar side challenge and that was pretty much the consensus.

I did try to erase over the stops (music) but I couldn't get it to let me erase...I tried and tried but I just couldn't get that done...then it was getting very late...(excuses) but I am sure someone will share how to "erase" on that layer..I don't know why I couldn't...I have erased before, but it just wouldn't work this time...(probably my head telling me to go to bed!!)

I usually duplicate the layer I'm going to add texture to. Once the texture is added to the duplicate layer, you can take the eraser tool to the parts of the overlay you want to eliminate. The original layer image underneath will show the parts you erased. If this is how you do it, and you still had trouble, it could be that you had the wrong layer selected. I've done that before... :o)

as suggested I re-did this one, and erased over the stops more what's more is I like the effect better...thank you for encouraging me to go back and see if I could do the erase/layering stuff...amazing what a little more sleep can do for you!!!

for me I think I like the flowers the best...tried to do more erasing to preserve the flower in the center more, but still see the overlays also...

I have been doing a lot of overlays and these are ones I did a few of days ago. The current ones will have the processing steps but I have to finish posting all of these older one :)

sorry i havent been making many comments in the last few days ...
i've been de-motivated .. !!! ..:)
i hope to have more time in the next day or two ..
ps .. i've looked in a few times and have been totally blown away ..
