"This thread belongs to Team Suck, a ragtag group of militia... um... photographers who compatriate more than compete, more interested in winging than winning, in love than lustre.
We don't let a low score get in the way of a dream!
As our seditious philosophy gained ground, our ranks grew, until we became more than just a team. We became a league of teams in wholesome if not entirely serious competition with each other. And that's the way we all became Team Suck.
This thread is for suckers to commiserate and compete. It can also be used for anyone with questions or comments about the Suck lifestyle. If you do wish to join us, we ask that you participate at DPC for a while to see if sucking really is your style, and we ask that you fulfill whatever half-brained initiation we come up with at that moment."
Rule of Thirds applies to *composition*, not subject.

yea, i've flirted with becoming a member for awhile now.
I'm having more fun than ever with my photography, and lower scores than in the 7 years I've been here. That's gotta count for something, doesn't it? :P |

Gee, even with several recent additions to my Brown Ribbon collection (see this thread) my overall average seems to have been creeping up by a few hundredths lately ... |

Near the top is a drop-down menu of Thread Options -- make it "watched" and you'll always be able to find it by hitting the button at the bottom of your Home page. |

Wow ditto! I didn't even know the palace had closed til now!
Having a real hard time getting into the latest challenges. Nothing in pets, cause neither would cooperate; have a deathly dull shot of a gas station; and no ideas at all for Post-it notes. Oh yeah and recently voters have been doling out 1s and 2s.
So why bother? |

I've actually gone through 10 recent challenges and took a fair number of samples from each challenge, compared to 10 challenges from a couple of years ago.
I bet you can't guess what I found on average.
I found that there are no more 1s, 2s, and 3s being given out than there ever have been.
This recent "low voting" hysteria is just that. Hysteria.
