Okay I tried, and I think I have the layer thingy and I think I have that sorted, just got to figure out how to make the lines now.<~~~ Tadaaaaaaa my first homemade Diptychs

An easy way to make lines is to just create a new image space that is as many pixels bigger around the image you want to frame, and then set your background color to whatever you want the color of the frame to be, then just copy/paste that new image in as a layer sitting just behind the photo you want to frame. Adjust edges accordingly depending on where you're placing the other photo(s)

And Cgino just taught me how to stroke, I am thrilled, seriously she gives the best lessons and so clear even I understood them!!!
