You can buy sand in any craft store, lots of gift stores sell it as well (for candle holders, etc) Get creative!!!
Can't believe this was picked, I suggested it not long ago. Lately a lot of my suggestions have been picked (window shopping, stars, Asian) |

So, does glass count? I'm in a Wisconsin winter...the only sand I see is the sand they throw on the roads so the cars don't slide!!

Sounds like a challenge made for sammie and her dune photos. I wish I lived closer to the sand dune park in Monahans! |

Heh! I was thinking of those of you who are there. And wondering why we didn't have this challenge about a year ago! |

Otta be a good shot of the sand over the ice on the roads. Unless of course you're in Ontario or Quebec then you're out of luck since they mostly use salt. |

Sandpaper maybe? Use the kids sandbox somehow during winter? Sandal, sand trap, just trying to help.

Texas is not landlocked.
Besides, sand is used in many places where there is no beach, like in masonary work,, hourglasses, filter systems, etc. You don't have to be at the beach to take a sand picture.
