Here Here. I've never been so involved in a side challenge that I was not participating in. I felt deeply moved by many of the shots today. YAY - this is fun.

Who says you're not participating? I'd bet every one of the people posting shots here would say that Judy & Deb are highly-valued participants in the thread. I hope you will both post some LB shots of your own before we're done (if we ever are done), but either way you two are great participants and commenters.

I'll say when we're done...and we're Not done. Not by a long shot. I filed for a 1 month extension. The paper work is just a matter of time.

I must apologize to all participants for my lack of participating over the last few days. I've been under the weather and so as some of my family. I may have to take a few more days off. I also apologize for not commenting as much as I would like. Hopefully I'll submit something in a few days.

Ah. I will if I ever get a Lensbaby with which to take a shot or two... :-) Still not here.

Here's one for you, Deb; the boat's name made me think of your unwavering quest for Lensbabydom...

Whose village does one have to burn to expedite your arrival at Lansbabyville??

Apparently none - it came today!!! It's the right mount! But... there's the smallest bit of "play" after you click the lens onto the body. In other words, if I hold the metal ring (not anything adjustable) I can turn the lens just a bit in both directions. Is this not a good thing? Should I worry about it? Can it hurt the camera?

'Tis dark here. I shall have to either a) find an inanimate object around the house, or b) crank the ISO, get in the car, and take blurry lensbaby pictures somewhere in town.

I would say that as long as it doesn't come off than the small amount play will probably be fine. Since the lens doesn't communicate with the camera you don't need to worry about the contacts not matching up, there are none! Now bring us some magic that we've been waiting on! You're next Judy!

I been talking to Deb on YM. The play is normal, they all have it. I suspect it's so manufacturing tolerances are looser and the lens is correspondingly less expensive, since (as Trevy says) it doesn't communicate with the camera anyway so no need for tight contacts.

Get in your car and start shooting. Don't waste a minute of precious night time. If you're lucky, there will be some cold, drippy fog to give neat reflections on pavement. Yaaaay. You're off and running.

Since I won't be able to get out and shoot for the rest of the week, I'm going to cheat and post some shots I got from my days off.

I was going to say mine has a little bit of 'play,' as well. Nothing to worry about. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Hard to learn a new toy like this in the dark. Will work a bit more on the mechanics of things in daylight - hopefully figure the turning/twisting and where it tends to move the sweet spot. These two are carp (well, crap, but carp seems nicer) but hey, had to go out and shoot something!! Will try to get a few better shots this weekend. (And I did spare you the incandescent-lit blurry teddy bear... be thankful.)
