Well, I think I've commented on nearly all the images thus far (missed a couple where lots had been posted together).

Although I've not participated in many side challenges I do peek in the threads but honestly feel the standard here is up there with the best challenges and whilst the LB is not currently a dpc friendly lens there would probably be half a dozen ribbons in here if submitted to the right challenge.

Kudos to everybody, I'm off for a lie down and a Cask strength single malt.

I was wondering about this, too. Until/Unless someone creates a fairly complex plug-in/effect, I think the average post-processing will provide the oddly shaped focus sweet spot, but not the distortion/stretching of the oof areas caused by the lens tilt/swing.

I can't find it now, but somewhere on the Lensbaby site is a quote to the effect that a couple of super-esteemed Photoshop gurus have averred that there is no way to faithfully duplicate what LB does in Photoshop; that, furthermore, it would defeat the purpose of the thing as well :-)

Yea--I agree--better to just have the real thing! I want one. I would like to have a dedicated body for it, actually. I think, given the fundamental nature of it, a less expensive, lower megapixel puppy would work just fine.

I personally want to thank you for taking the time to comment on my shots. I really appreciate it! Thanks.

I want to thank everyone for taking the time to comment/offer insight. It means a lot to me, especially since this is the first side challenge I have participated in since becoming a member. It's great camaraderie and loads of fun to boot. I'm looking forward to the rest of the month! :o)

I've been out if it the last couple of days...I hate January, we don't get along.

But I went out a couple hours ago I shot these and am really pleased with how they turned out...better than I had hoped. The top is an antique Victorian top that's been floating around in my sewing room. It's waist is too tiny to actually fit on my dress form, so it keeps getting moved around. Today I decided to take it outside.

Here's my #8. I tried to go outside, but it was one of those days with the sun out and when I got outside, the wind chill got me to go right back in. Too cold. So I decided to play with some more macros.

I moved my coin bucket under the light.

I'm not a fan of cold weather, but the one thing I do love about winter is the colorful sunsets. The pastels are unlike any colors in the sky during the other seasons...

No deep thinking today. Just straight up architecture.

The comments have been excellent, and have made this challenge almost as fun as the photos have. Commenting on every image is heroic. Thanks Ecce Signum.

This lens almost stays put on my camera (so much fun), which weighs much less than usually (sooo comfortable)

I am a bit lazy when it comes to exchanging the aperture rings, so mostly I use the lensbaby without ring at all. Guess that makes it my lightest (in every sense) lens.

Here is a stolen snap of my daughter 2.

Dang. You're all too darn prolific. I'm having a heck of a time trying to keep up! But don't let that stop you... some really really good stuff to enjoy here. Thanks!!

Here Here. I've never been so involved in a side challenge that I was not participating in. I felt deeply moved by many of the shots today. YAY - this is fun.

I took a little nature walk today. Still cold, so it was short walk.

I'll catch up on my commenting tomorrow. For now I need to get to rehearsal. I'm in a show.
