I’m away for a few days visiting Zep. But I know I’ll have some more treats to look at here when I return!

I’ve tried (not completely successfully) to comment on everything … a mistake probably. First because I simply don’t have anything to say about some shots, and my late father advised me that if you have nothing to say, then say it. Second because it’s perhaps a bit insulting to the photographer … last night I commented on about 12 photographs in 30 minutes. It normally takes me at least two hours to look at 12 photographs and offer some kind of appreciation, so I feel I’m not doing justice to your work trying to say a few words about a lot of images. I’d rather do the reverse. I know that approach doesn’t suit everyone, of course. Maybe I’m just a very slow thinker. Look at Jutilda … the most prolific commentator in the world, and yet she still manages to say something insightful (sometimes breathtakingly so) in the time it takes me to lick my pencil (metaphorically). But I can’t do that. And speaking of my favorite Texan, kicking the tires and asking advice about Lensbaby accessories surely indicates that she is going to give the LB another try. You do that please, TX, because everyone posting pics to this thread knows that your mind is a Lensbaby mind. And I mean that in the most complimentary way possible.

My last effort for a few days. Feel free to not comment, of course!

Don't worry, Brother: I Pm'd her so persuasively re: the suitability of the Composer for her efforts that she's ready to give it a whirl. Lawdy, I was persuasive! The whole community should give me praise!

I broke down and got the Composer. All I can say is WOW! Sooooo much easier to focus now.

Hard to get the right focus w/ the LB when your subject keeps moving!

I took so many shots today and most of them had lousy focus. Very disappointing. I'll have to be more careful next time.
