And the Heron Said to the Guinea fowl
Not sharp enough but I thought it amusing to see them together in our driveway! |

I am a total slacker today. Tough week at work and I didn't get a photo again. The above is an older shot that I recently framed for the wall. I did a little processing today if that counts! Highlights are a little hot, but it printed OK. I will try harder this weekend. See you later! Tom

Sorry I'm still behind, my internet has been crappy lately. It's just my luck, when I have free time to get on the internet to get caught up, it's not working!

The sunset today.
The shuttle launch from 175 miles away. It's not much to see from here, but at least we did get to see it as it was happening.

I swung by the Vermilion River on the way home from work today. Did a little scouting to see if the first run of steelhead had entered the river. It was overcast and getting late. If the run has begun, they haven't made it up this far. Evident by the lack of fish and fishermen. Steelhead (rainbow trout that migrate) are strong fish that grow to 10 pounds or more in the great lakes. While we can see them clearly in the shallow river, they can be quite finicky and difficult to catch when migrating. They are bright silver/chrome when they enter the river, and dark brown when they return to the lake. Perhaps I will have a photo before the month is over.
