 i had this basic edit entered in the Red III challenge and then took it out on the day it would'v gone in for voting replacing it with something totally different that's not doing very well ..
i'm putting it in my slice of life because it was a big slice of my life the other day ..

the shadowing that waddy MelonMusketeermentioned could be the blur from the movement of the wings probably combined with the flash ..
it was a grey day and the sky looked very much as you see it here ..

hey Roz! nicely captured bird shot..
I get the sense that the bird is SOO BIG in this image, feels like the sky is squishing him in..
i like that jolt of red in the corner
the details in the bird are fantastic, plus a very different POV, coluse of that WA lens

Nice clarity & detail in the bird- the BG is too flat tho - Probably would not have done well but thanks for sharing this slice :)

I am curious about the shadowing along the leading edges of the wings. It appears to be a shadow from the flash. I think that it's a well timed and framed shot, but would have been hit hard in voting because of the shadow more than the darkness in the feathers.
