This challenge is LOADED with superb entries! If I was hard-core competitive, I would regret having entered this one (but I don't). As it is, though, I am just glad to be in Mighty Company :-)

I dont regret it a bit. It feels great to be in same pool as some of the greatest B/W pictures ever.

Your profile portfolio has some amazing pictures. If your submission is of that quality, your score should become better. Good luck!

Holy smokes! I participated with an entry, for which I had just 30min time to think, shoot and edit. And at least for now it seems that I'm getting better results than ever. :) Maybe I should do this more often... Though it's not nearly as good as I hoped, what comes to technical merits, but seems that the composition is working better than before.

For those that have entered, I am voting and commenting now. I am seeing many images that in my mind are not abstract. Normally I would start at 5 for meeting the challenge (adding/subtracting from there), but for me these aren't abstract. Thoughts on lower scores because I personally feel the challenge was not met. I will of course make the appropriate comment when scoring lower.
I just don't want to be slamming people if I am off base. You have seen the others, do you agree? (Generally of course until voting is over)

I would agree with the definition, I guess I am opposed to just taking a close-up of anything and calling it abstract. That and I may be tired and grouchy.
Also, voting further I see many more that are right on, must have just been the batch I was looking at first. Maybe the others will hit me better on round 2 of viewing. |
