I pray that you feel all better soon, Shez. And... with the temp camera will 'be on the go' again.

I enjoy your talent so very much.

Hopefully today was a better day for you, and tomorrow even better yet.

Rest up, there is time enough for pictures. We are thinking of you and holding you in our hearts....

Thank you everyone and yes I am feeling a lot better today but still taking it easy. This has been the hardest recovery from anesthetic I have ever had. It really knocked me about this time.

I have not taken Roz's camera out of the box yet, as I want to have all my wits about me when I do.

Maybe tomorrow will be the day, I enjoy the magic moment when I take it out, read all about it, and take some photos. I need to put a smile on my face.

I am so blessed, and thank you for all your good wishes.

Hi Shez,

Sorry to hear about your camera. Hopefully they will upgrade you with the insurance and you'll have an even better camera.

Shez, I think of you every day and hope you're slowly starting to feel better. You've been through a lot so take it easy. Enjoy Roz's camera, it was really great of her to send it to you.

UPDATE: 1-9-2008 NEW CAMERA - Yah......

I now have in my hand a brand 'NEW' Canon EOS-450D Rebel XSi

Canon EOS Rebel XSi Black Digital Camera Kit
(12.2MP, 4272x2848, SD/SDHC Card Slot - MPN: 2756B003)

Description: For stunning photography with point-and-shoot ease, look no further than Canon's EOS Rebel XSi. It features Canon's EOS Integrated Cleaning System, Live View Function, DIGIC III Image Processor, plus 12.2-megapixel CMOS Sensor.

As you all know about 10 days ago I had an accident with my Canon EOS-350D Rebel XTCanon SLR 350 Digital camera.

The strap got caught in the tripod handle and accidentally fell to the floor, off my low coffee table. All screen went blank and no digital at all.

Sent both the camera and one of my favorite Canon lenses my Canon EF 28-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS USM off to Canon in Sydney, and hoped my insurance would cover the repairs or replacement.

My insurer said to go ahead and get the quote. Last time I sent my camera away re the flash not working it took 10 weeks before I got it back. I now thought I would be without a camera for quite awhile.

In the meantime both Deb, our Melethia and also my dear friend Roz Roz said they send me there Canon 400D. I was so overwhelmed by both gestures and could not believe they do that for me. This place is awesome and some of the people just blow me away with their friendship and support.

Our dearest friend Roz, sent me her camera the very next day, and I used it yesterday, for the first time and love it. Now I will have to pack it up, and send it back to her, as my family rang me this morning to go out and get a new camera to replace the Canon 350.

I was totally blown away by this and have upgraded to the Canon EOS-450D Rebel XSi Camera, along with a new lens.

Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM for Canon I am so EXCITED, and have to pinch myself for being so fortunate to have a family that really cares about my health and well being.

Now I just have to learn how to use it. The memory cards are different and so is the battery. I still hope to one day soon if they cannot fix my Canon 350 body that is damages to replace it with another 'Canon350 body', for a spare camera.

Why I choose the Canon 450 is due to the size, the sensor cleaner, and most of all the viewing screen at the back when taking photos as it is hard for me to see in the little view screen at the top. I am wrapped.

Now, I need to say a huge 'thank you', for all the PM's and emails for all the support, concern, and even offers of money, which I will be kindly refusing. I will try and PM or emailing everyone, who sent me a personal email or pm, as soon as I can, to thank them. You have all be so very kind.

Now where is that tissue box that I need, to wipe up all my tears of happiness. I have just about flooded the place.....

THANKS HEAPS,
love shez

THANKS.............
I still just in awe and total shock and still just looking at it. Tonight I am going to read through the book, and set the camera up, so I can take some photos tomorrow.

Muchos Congrats Shez..... ENJOY!

AWESOME Shez!!! And you're gonna love the wide angle! It'll open up a whole new world and perspective for you. Now you'll have both your beloved macros, and the "big picture". In fact, I can see you doing a whole series of stuff - first the big picture with the wide angle, then macros of stuff from within that. Sky's not even the limit for you now! And if the insurance lets you get a second body, go with the one like Roz's since it WILL take the same battery and memory card as the 350D.

Happy shooting my dear! I'll be checking your portfolio to see what you come up with!
