Still no news about my camera yet. Hopefully Canon will soon let me know soon.

Still no news about my camera my Canon 350D, which was accidentally dropped. It is now at the Canon head office in Sydney, waiting on if it is repairable or to be replaced. It will be covered by insurance up to $1,000.00 Australian, thank goodness.

If you have read the thread above you will see that my family brought me a new Canon450D which I love. Due to my health issues at the moment, have only used it once for a 'test' run, and not been able to pick it up since.

Hopefully we will know soon what the problem is, or that I improve. Either way, it is not going anywhere, and will be here when I feel better. I do like to look at it from time to time, and dream of all the wonderful images that I hope to take with it.

Just thought I like to give you all an update with what has been happening.

Miss you all heaps, especially the side challenges.

Have a positive approach to your health sherpet! You are an inspirational person and I know you can overcome :) My mom is very sick and she is so negative and I feel like she is just making herself worse by being negative... a man who helped me through my cancer once told me that if you waste your spring away hidden inside complaining and being negative about all the rain and stormy weather, you miss the april flowers that die when summer comes, and the rainbows after the rain... that helped me through a hard time :)

I still have not used it as yet, but do have the battery charged and all ready to go.

I have been so unwell since the last procedure I had to have at the hospital early last week. No energy, very tired, and aching all over. I hate it when I cannot get about to take photos, especially with my new camera.

Hopefully things will improve.

That's great that you have a new and even better camera. Sounds like you have a great family that takes care of you. Good on them and your network of friends as well. That's what family and friends are all about. Look forward to seeing your photos with your 450D.

AWESOME Shez!!! And you're gonna love the wide angle! It'll open up a whole new world and perspective for you. Now you'll have both your beloved macros, and the "big picture". In fact, I can see you doing a whole series of stuff - first the big picture with the wide angle, then macros of stuff from within that. Sky's not even the limit for you now! And if the insurance lets you get a second body, go with the one like Roz's since it WILL take the same battery and memory card as the 350D.

Happy shooting my dear! I'll be checking your portfolio to see what you come up with!

Shez, that's wonderful!! I'm so pleased for you. As Jeb says, you deserve to have nice things happen to you.
A friend of mine has the Canon 450D and I've tried it out. It's a great camera. Have lots of fun with it and I look forward to seeing you in the challenges again soon.
