I'm going on vacation Friday, so naturally, these last few days are nuts; the usual stuf.....toilet overflowing and flooding the second floor, flat tires, none of the arrangements falling quite into place, not enough time to get it all done.....
So I may not be back here 'til the weekend of the 16th & 17th......I'm throwing in a few here, and maybe I'll be able to get the kid's laptop to work on vacation, but it hasn't been working well.

Buttercup squash. If you've never had it try it. Sort of like acorn or butternut squash with a sweet potato texture.

I may not have much time to break out a camera today and play,
so, remembering all the great thistle pictures in this
thread lately, I offer this one from my portfolio:
Hey, thanks everyone, for all the nice comments. yes, this was a fluke. I had owned that lens for about 10 months and took it everywhere. The Mt. vision road was still recovering from a burn a few years back, and the wildflowers were spectacular. No one was on that deadend road (during the week) so I was free to stop and go in my little silent, no shake, Prius and play with the lens. Fortunately I didn't know much Photoshop at the time, so except for a crop, I don't remember doing much to it. Unfortunately, the original did not survive some early purges of my rather voluminous files before I figured out how to keep more of 'em.
Yes, I was surprised at the number of views too, but it HAS been in my portfolio for quite a while.
