Will look through the site now to see what other DPC material has been ripped, suggest others do too.

Hey thats mine! I haven't seen that gif in months, lol. I'll try and get it taken down. I found the original guy who made it and he got rid of his but at this point it is nearly impossible to get rid of and shows up from time to time. Thanks for posting.

My PB shot showed up there today, guy name of "volker". The funny part is the tags include my name. I think it was stolen from smugmug, because it's a different crop than I entered in the challenge. 892x692, a smugmug medium, probably. GoogleAlerts tipped me off.

Try registering and using Tineye for image search. I use "copy link location" from my DPC portfolio, and 4 out of 12 images I searched on had been ripped, by different people.

I understand Joey's argument, now that he's making new images for profit and licensing them. I shoot for stock, and the one they took perhaps I never should have posted on the net, because it's rare and marketable. Was on the beach with 19 other people shooting and nobody got what I did, for what it's worth.

Andi - I had never heard of that site but having gone to it and put my name in the search box it throws up two of mine.

The worst bit is that the only comment against this one -

is 'Photoshopped' !!

No you can't stop it with scripts. There is always a way in. You build a script for internet explorer and the person comes in with Opera or some unix browser that won't listen to most what you tell it.

Not saying that you CAN'T stop it but you can disable all that with scripts.

TinEye image search might help you find more stolen images (I found some of mine here, for example.). But what is your reaction going to be once you identify stolen images?
