3 month old Amur Leopard cub called Kiska (Russian for Pure).

The Amur Leopards are critically endangered with as few as 35 believed to be left in the wild, so they are surviving asa species largely through the work of Zoo's and Wildlife parks around the World. Unknown to her there is a large burden already placed on her spotty little shoulders :- )

p.s. they also have these wonderful bright blue eyes for the first few months before they turn the classic golden brown.

Thank you for your kind words Don - the title and composition is meant to help the viewer look beyond the great big Mother in the foreground, and focus in on the little baby (the future) who has to carry a heavy burden on her spotty little shoulders if the breed is to survive and ever hope to flourish again.

Hence the presence of the mother, but the focus and clarity on the cub.

This is absolutely awesome. Love the blurred foreground and the very sharp exposure on the cub.

Oh, this is almost heartbreaking - so sweet, so precious.

While the oof fore dominating so much is slightly distracting, the patterns and colors within the mother (?) offset and highlight the main subject, the cub, very well. Really like the clarity of the details in the cub and the colors, especially the baby blue eyes.
