There are some terrific entries in the previous challenge done without any PS tricks -- very inspiring! |

| The storm didnt hit me in the midlands - which is really annoying i was planning to go out this afternoon for some shots... damn those who live in the south west (except if you have a house which just got flooded - my sympathies)... although i hear north west will get some on wednesday! |

Sure, one day after we had our GTG along the banks of a river with a temp of -4 and Steam rising off anything warmer than the air, frost developing on peoples eyelids.

| The end of January I went with a local photography group to Bombay Beach at Salton Sea, CA. It would be perfect for this, but I can't make the 250 round mile trip again. |

| What is a "harsh environment" anyway? "Last time we did this with Expert Editing" doesn't tell me anything at all about the challenge (the description of that first challenge seems to be "N/A" -- equally helpful). Anyone care to define? The desert? Obviously. What about a steel mill? A steep hillside? An out-of-control third grade classroom? All of the above? |

Yup... I'd say they all qualify.
That's the fun thing about an N/A description - anything goes (ofcourse ultimately, it's the voters who will decide). |

| There are three-four-five photos here which are extraordinary. Obviously subjects the photogs care passionately about. Please take the time to "really" look at each photo. There aren't that many. |
