Once a month my sister Sherry, Sandyp and I meet over at my mom's for sister night!! We sit around eat cheese, drink wine and talk and talk and talk!
I really needed our get together I was beginning to feel run down. They have lifted my spirits and I am all better now. I just LOVE them!!

What the heck does High Pass mean and how do I get there?
I have CS2......do I have this??????

First, I'm *NOT* happy with the "soft" focus.....I racked off about 40 images of these guys and they're all screwy focus-wise......RRRRR!!!!
This is a gen-yoo-wine wild turkey....sorta....
This guy lives down the road from me and he bought some captured babies, raised them, and they bred. They get out occasionally, and like most stupid turkeys, they just do dumb things like stare at the sky and wander out in the road.
Anyhow, though we do have quite a few native turkeys in the woods around here, you don't generally get a chance to see them this close.

I use PSPX2 which from the Sharpening Menu I can choose Highpass Sharpen.
I looked it up for CS2 and you have similar
Duplicate your layer
Filters > Other > HighPass
Choose a Value on the Slider (corel default is knife sharp at 10) start around 4
Set the blending mode to Overlay, Hardlight or Softlight
Adjust the Opacity of the Layer to get the look you desire.
Highpass will really make the edges crisp...

I am having a hard time keep up this month as I am having problems with my medications for metastasized breast cancer which is in my bones. I have been doing very well until the last month when the medications decided to make me sick. Hopefully we can soon get this under control. Anyway, photogaphy has been a good diversion for me at this time in my life. I love it! You all are such an inspiration to me, and I love learning from your images and your suggestions. |
