I'd like to, but I don't know whether the site's privacy policy allows me to do that without permission. Without that permission, therefore, I don't feel entirely comfortable posting.

Would posting the names make the site better? No. Would it cause the people who learned a valuable lesson and are now better DPCers a bunch of trouble as people would then harrass then in PM? Yes. Should SC reveal them? NO |
I'm not looking to post names. I'm just asking the people who are stating that they were unjustly suspended for permission to post some of the evidence we found.

Terry,

post the evidence to the people involved in a PM.
Washing the dirty laundry in public should be avoided in my opinion.

Why not give it to us first? We have only asked for one message from the site council about why the heck we where banned. For all we know the members of the site council are afraid of our team in the WPL and want us out. That is how this looks to us!
Send us any information, any reason or just a litle note! I want to see the horrible cheating pattern that we created with our devious minds.
I hate to say it but trying to explain my case here is like screaming into a pillow and it is driving me nuts.
WHY DON'T YOU CONTACT ME LANGDON!!! JUST LIKE YOU CONTACTED ONE OF MY TEAMMATES TONIGHT ?!?!?!?!?!
I lost all trust and confidence into this administration. Only one answering any of my attempts to contact them was Scalvert and he didnt give many explanations. Allthough I won't hold it against him.
*EDIT: took out some angry words*

May I make a suggestion.
SC and the persons involved should take this discussion in private. Exchange mails, pm's or whatever.
It is imo important that the SC continues to be a council we can trust and have respect for, these allegations are tearing that trust down.
It is immature to react to a judgement by attacking those who are chosen to sit and judge. Should you feel you have to do so, do it in private.
This is the first day of WPL3, let's get shooting.
On a sideline: What happens to the team now, if members of a team have been banned, will it be possible for the remaining member or members to hurry and get a sub or two, or will there be walk-overs?
It would be a shame for those team-members not involved in this if the team can't function because there are not enough participating members.

Southern Gentleman banned the 4 participating members from the WPL for 3 WPL seasons starting with this one. So the people I managed to get to join us are left aside and I can't even tell them why that is since I have heard nothing but this from the site council.

We'll be glad to post your horrible cheating pattern if you like. You wouldn't be doing yourself any favors though.
The lack of a private message to you was probably an oversight, although it would have been redundant with the same info posted at the beginning of this thread. The reason you didn't get a response to your messages is that you sent Admin tickets (which only Langdon can see), and he's been out of town for a couple of days. |

He managed to send a message containing false information to one of the members last night.
He didnt as much as send a beep to me.
Overlooked or just plain ignoring?
I don't want to judge him like I was judged.
Added: How about just sending the patterns and findings to us? Just so we can see the whole thing for ourselves.

Rules are guidlines to help people understand how things are expected to go, a way of getting all on the same page.
Rules are not law.
And as such are up to interpritation.
We as people trying to respect each other and the work we create need to know that what we see is a fair representation of each others work.
When we choose to alter that perseption and falsly represent ourselves and others We choose to put ourselves on a different level as others we treet ourselves not as equales but as better than others.
I personly do not like it when someone because of there skilles feeles as though they are better than me.
We shouldnt need rules to tell us not to cheet.
Fair play is all we ask.

To be honest if Langdon isn't replying then the guy is probably busy. I imagine that he does have one or two other things to do with his life other than spend every waking moment replying to site tickets. |

ON A POSITIVE NOTE:
I am surprised, and flattered to see the council would take such measures to keep the site clean.
Props to ya'll, and though I know the offenses were minor, they were not in vain, keep up the good work.
P.S. On a small flip-note, forget the P.M.'s, I think it is justified to keep everything public "all the time", even if redundant. Why? Because we stay informed, and that is awesome.

Not looking to throw rocks in a glass house but...
"After a thorough investigation, we discovered that a small number of users were clearly revealing their entries to each other, and in some cases voting 9 and 10 across the board for their teammates. While the true effect of 3 or 4 votes of "10" on a single entry is minimal, such behavior will not be tolerated and th offending users have been dealt with."-L
Evidence seems pretty clear to me.

There was no false information, and Langdon knows that I've already explained everything to you. You knew which entries belonged to your teammates and gave them all 10s. You didn't give anybody outside your team a 10. That's cheating and you were suspended. What else would he say? |

Did we Vote anyone down?
I just gave out the votes that I thought where right. But langdon told my teammate that he got a warning becouse of his voting pattern.
This teammate has never ever ever ever voted a single vote on DPC.
Still this busy man accuses him of a fraudulent voting pattern.
Look at my overall votes before the WPL before accusing me. I usually don't give out many 10's unless I think the picture is very special. I thought all the pictures I gave a 10 where special. You mentioned a bottom 10% shot wich made a newspaper here in Iceland. I recogniced it and thought he ship on the photo was beutifull becouse it is one of the biggest ships that has come to iceland. So I gave it a 10. How can that be illegal and cheating!?
You still are not listening to me and that makes me sad. :( |

It is kind of hard to listen to you when you seem to be saying that as long as you don't vote anyone down, everything else is okay. |

Dude, you freakin' gave your teammates 10 across the board! give all of us a break!!! maybe you should have thought a tiny bit about just NOT voting on their shots, but instead you gave them all 10s knowing the shots were theirs!
YOU CHEATED AND YOU GOT CAUGHT
And IMO your excuses are LAME

Doesn't matter. You voted your teammates up and apparently didn't give others the same consideration. That's manipulating the system, and against the rules.
Originally posted by Bolti: langdon told my teammate that he got a warning becouse of his voting pattern. |
You and your teammates voted HIS shots up, hence he got a warning. Remember that Rikki was suspended for having others votes his shots up too, not for his own voting patterns.

You're asking us to believe that ALL of your teammates entries (including those that scored below 5) were so special that they deserved a 10 during the WPL, yet NOBODY else's were as good (even the ribbon winners). I'm listening. I just don't buy it.

Putting aside the fact that it doesn't matter whether you're voting friends up or down -- either of those is an infraction -- let's think about this statement.
What happens when you vote a bunch of people "up?" The end result is that everyone else goes down in the results. What's the difference?

Then the foul cheating gene must be systemic of all of mankind. Down with this sort of thing! |
