Here on Team Suck is the only place you can actually get razz'd for having good non-sucky scores. :-)
Mist, I'm contemplating sticking what I think is a really good bokeh shot in "After the Game". It would be MASSIVELY DNMC, but would get lots more views and comments. And I suspect it would score about the same either way. |

Says the guy who's got a 6+ riding in trains.... Sigh. What's become of this place? (Now go rent Angel, will ya? First season requires some patience but it's worth it for the rest of the series.) |

I might give this puppy its own thread, along with the original to show the processing I did. I liked how the exit/entrance ramps create an ornamental sort of shape. Everything I did in cropping and processing was to emphasize that shape, and juxtapose it with the sun. xion alarmed me a bit when he said the sky was oversharpened. I could have masked the sky from the sharpen filter, but decided that I wanted the sky to be as slick as possible. I think I'll try the sky less sharp and see how that looks. Looking at the image again on my flatscreen, he may be right. |
If you start a new thread, you might want to show the pre-sharpened version and the after-sharpened version. To me this is not over sharpened but then I'm a photoshop idiot.

My bokeh doesn't have circles either. But it does have serious OOF issues. I'm thinking it should work ;P |

...and I just got a comment on my lighting entry, telling me how much it sucks! The funny thing is they say there's too much PS and there is none. Nobody seems to know what it is, so they keep guessing I did it in PS. |

I just submitted my bokeh entry. I am sitting on some major dnmc suckage here. This should make up for my train to 6dom.

Well, all right. Oxymoron came in at 5.66. Not bad. Even better is that my commenters scored me almost 2 points above that: 7.4.
At least I connected well with someone! :)

5.34 for Oxymoron, which is good for me. My Bokeh shot - which I did enter in the end - is at 4.5 at the moment (though it's way too early yet to know the real score). I could do with it going over 5 for the sake of my average (now 4.95) but I can't see it.

Not much of a score, but very neat and symetrical.

Sometimes, I just don't get it. I really expected to bomb in lighting, but thought this would be mid 5's. |

At least I knew this one wasn't going to be a high scorer. Ahh well, will take a little longer to reach that 5.0 average now. |

Hi, I'm relatively new to DPC but I can tell you I definitely belong on this team. My first photo - faceless challenge - did okay (around 5.8) but my last photo of morning was...nearly in last place with a 4.5 something! In bokeh, I've got a 4.7. So, I think I most certainly qualify and ought to join. |

I am starting to suspect my first relatively higher score was an anomoly. My bokeh photo is slowsly going doooooooooown. It is around 4.65 now. BTW, after reviewing many of the bokeh photos, I suspect scores will be lower in general. Probably because of basic editing rules. Could be wrong, though. I may just....suck. |
