This is a view from inside my shower, aimed out at the wall with the towels hanging on it. The bluish color is from the open doorway into the bedroom. Used my 500W shoplight shining on the wall with the towels to allow a handheld shot so I didn't have to get the tripod into the shower.

Yes, it's an abstract. Yes, I know better. But I realized that (*gasp*) I didn't have a water droplet shot in my portfolio! This couldn't be! So here you have it - my water droplet shot. Woo!

(Does anyone actually read these things?)

Post - cropped, added a hue/sat layer in multiply mode (which did really cool things to the colors), smart sharpen, resized. Note that it's resized to 620 on the long side vice 640 - that "really cool things to the colors" bit added a lot of information, apparently, and the file size of the 640 px image was well over 200K. As it is, the slightly smaller version is at 65% to get to down to under 150K.

Very gorgeous - the colour is beautiful, the flow of the lines really lovely. There are areas of dark near the centre that offer an interesting variegation. Awesome water droplet shot, one of the best.

Oh yes they do. I read the comments on every picture I look at after the challenges. I love the stories behind the photo.

I really really like this Deb! It's really strikingly sharp, and the interesting colors and textures make a great abstract photo. I wish this could have been entered in an abstract challenge because you would have probably been a top scorer with this shot!

Does anyone actually read these things?

Oh yes. Yes, they do.

Interesting abstract. It looks like you intentionally left out the sprawling landscape from the background that would have gotten you that 7+ score. Still, a nice choice.

Ya know, I don't think it's always us that suck (for sure not you) but the voters. I know my top ten picks seldom ever make it to the actual top 10. This is a very interesting shot. I love the tones of brown. With the title and the water, it could be a stomach silloutte. And it almost looks like a bellybutton in there. LOL. I haven't been voting the past few challenges, but I would have given this a 7 or 8.
p.s. Yes, I read the photographer comments!

This is a very good absract image for your water drop portfolio, like the colors and presentation.

Interesting shot, nice textures. Does not realy invoke the nature of the challenge without the caption though.

As abstract pictures go this one is very successful. The colours are everything here.
