That's because many top photographers on this site are painters (note that I did not say "artists"), not photographers. They often take a so-so snapshot, and then "paint" on top of it in PP (that includes shifting colour hues, over-saturating the colours, etc.) until it looks like a picture that would sell to the crowd. Luckily, the crowd is not that demanding here. |

I don't enter many challenges (only 10 to date at present - I'm very picky) so I don't have many. But I do wish the top row looked exactly like the above arangement.
Numbers 1, 3, and 5 are in my top row right now. Number 2 is what my Yellow entry SHOULD have looked like (my thanks to fellow DPCers who helped me see it's potential). Lastly number 4 just need a little more brightness/contrast to boast the colors and deepen the silhouette. |
