By nature, I'm not a political person, I avoid such threads, but here... I just gotta say....
Please keep rants to rant threads. This self portrait challenge (as a participant) so far has been precisely like the first one, which had no controversy for the same types of images and same types of comments. If you want to rant - please do so elsewhere. I haven't seen any "strip-club" behaviour here, only people having fun with posting images of themselves; and lets face it, shooting yourself is embarassing. If you can't laugh about it, the alternative isn't very good. Shooting yourself (insert "a person") every day for 30 days will teach TONS about how to shoot people and that knowledge is invaluable to a photographer. How about lighten up and just ignore the thread if it offends you. End of my rant and sorry for the temp hi-jack. You may now return to you regularly scheduled meriment.
Shoot every day - you will learn much!
SC - Please move any rantish post - including this one if you want - to a rantish thread.

I didn't wait - the date was a big one. It was lovely, the third time we brought my 2 daughters (17 & 14) and his daughter (8) to the same place and the girls wer hillarious and adorable. They gave me cards and gifts and sang to me.... I hate that birthday song... but it was sweet and very cute. :)
He and I have a private birthday date tomorrow!
Got back just in time to join a party, already in progress, from my neighbors - who absolutely rock - 5 families - our whole street - to wish me a good one and ugh whiskey shots! Yuck! remind me not to do that again!
Overall - an excellent birthday! And special thanks to all that posted good wishes. You guys are the reason I like hanging here. :)

I'm so excited about my Free Study finish and that emotion fit perfectly into the self-portrait challenge. Every time I'm down about a picture, I just have to come look at this one to remember the feeling. :)

and just for fun. here's a game. help me think of a reward for the winner.
I'll be busy this weekend celebrating my sons birthday and going to look at buying a new house so I have my day 5 and 6 photos in my portfolio all ready and i'll post them when thier time comes but feel free to go look and comment now. ;)
