No.

Alien3 doesn't count. Honestly. Anyone that could even remotely think that it should ever have been made should be shot.

It's like Superman IV. DISREGARD!

I never realized the movie The Thing was part of a trilogy. Are the other two any good?

I had an acid trip that was EXACTLY like that about 6 months before I saw the movie, I was a little paranoid for a while after. (trip and movie)

How about the Musashi samurai trilogy ... I don't remember the names of the the individual movies.

LOTR and when it's finished, The Bourne Trilogy.

They are making two more Batman's right? If they are anything like the last one that would be my pick.

i meant legally made, dude.

and sea2c,

good choice on Bourne Trilogy. Very very clever. Those movies singlehandedly converted me from a Matt Damon hater, to a "that dude isn't so bad afterall, I think I will like him in future films". And that would have been impossible if not for those exact movies, because i thought he was a tool. He might still be, but not in my fantasy film world.

Side-track a bit, about Matt Damon.
I think he did very well in GoodWill Hunting. (anyone watched that?)

Trois Coleurs by Krzysztof Kieslowski.

No contest.

Matt Damon's no Ed Norton...or Gary Oldham(man?)....or Charles Bronson...or Lee Van Cleef but he can hold his own.

Too bad they never made 3001: The Final Odyssey to complete that trilogy.

Star Wars

What about Crocodile Dundee...

Only kidding....hated LOTR, Godfather gets my vote

Best western trilogy.

A Fistfull of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, The Good The Bad and The Ugly.

I'd like to say the Godfather, but III sucked so bad. I and II are still my favorite movies of all time and still the only movie and sequel to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

Indiana Jones was good except for the 2nd one.

Can we count Clerks, Chasing Amy and Dogma?

LOTR was good, but still needs to stand the test of time.

all IMHO

When Toy Story 3 comes out (2008) it'll cap the best animated trilogy.

I'd agree with that. Plus the credits of Toy Story 2 run over the best blooper reel ever.

I'm drawing a blank. what other animated trilogies are there? I was hoping we could group Miyazaki stuff into a trilogy, but that doesn't really work...

Pirates of the Carrabean or however you spell that! Even though the last ones not out yet.

I want you to name your favorite movie trilogy of All-Time.

And that doesn't include the Lord of the Rings, which is obviously the best movie and trilogy ever filmed.

Discuss ........

I will start with

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Ark, Temple of Doom, and The Last Crusade

The Three Colors Trilogy is excellent. Krzysztof Kieslowski.
