Disney50fam at 2 Peas
A fellow DPCer pointed out to me earlier that one of my images is being claimed by the user/website linked above. Please take a minute and look through his/her portfolio bo see if any of your images are there. I didn't see any I could immediatly identify as other DPCers' shtos, but best everyone take a look for themselves.

Keep in mind there are more photos when you click each thumbnail on the site - meaning there are hundreds of photos on the site.
Edit: Make that 437 images in that users portfolio.

I knew I recognized those, but couldn't remember where I'd seen them.

I contacted the site administrators via email about my image - I would suggest you guys do the same. I also sent an email to the user - rather rantish and scathing, but hey...
No response yet from either.

Is there a reason for not allowing people to put copyrights on their images?
I know DPC won't look as clean as it does now but apparently photo-theft is very common, right?

Cindi, could you post the links to contact the site admins and the user? The water image quoted above is my daughter's. This guy needs to have his cage rattled. |

You have to use a PM-system to respond to the user. You'll have to create an account to do it - well worth it in my opinion.

There's nothing stopping you putting a message on things that aren't challenge entries.
Although from my experience of the net it makes little difference. People are just as happy to steal and display images with copyright text showing on them as they are "clean" images. |

[slap in the face] Good point, what about a standard DPC watermark?

Why DPC does not use this click here to protect content on this site is beyound me.
You can also stop windown from having that image save bar open when you run your mouse over a picture by adding this meta tag to every page
These two simple additions to the web site would prevent most normal people from taking our images.

well the truth is, while frustrating and annoying, there's not much a person can do with a 640 pixel image beside show it on the web.

Since this looks like it will effect much of that user's gallery, can we have our Administrators contact their administrators?
