If only I could have found another one of these spiders - I wonder how it would have done in this past challenge. (Shot taken last year)

Those spiders are so cool! :)

Here are a few of mine. As always, I had a hard time deciding. :)

Awesome, Pug-H... I think it would have done really well in voting, even if it IS a creepy, crawly, icky spider. ;)

I had a couple of outtakes but they're all very similar to my entry, other than some various hue adjustments and minor compositional changes:

mad_brewer and jenesis, I think you both chose wisely...I love both of those entries!!!

Not really an outtake but this shot was taken a day bfore the challenge was announced and I went to the same place to get a similar shot but these beautiful leaves were chopped off by then :(

I think you made the right choice Elvis. I like the smoothness of your entry. The texture you added (?), to me, kind of looks like wierd artifacts or something. Maybe a different texture might work better because I like the idea behind it. Great color choice though! ;-)

I took this mainly as a test to see if I could actually pull it off. I was quite pleased, but knew I'd get a few DNMC's if I submitted it, since there's not really a foreground subject. Sorry about the border...I posted this in another online gallery and I need to maintain some border continuity there :)

Wow, I have to tell you that outtake buries your submission. I'm not sure why the dnmc concern, if anything the green stems on the submission walked that line from a literalist perspective. Man tht outtake is one sweet shot, good job.
