I had this one pegged for top 20, it came in 44th.
Thought this would place a little higher also...

61st, thought it would get to the top ten

The first shot here is my entry. It stayed around 6.3xxx for most of the challenge (which was great) but during the last 24 hours went down to 6.0xx. In fact, at one point I thought it was going to go under 6.
Thank God it stayed where it did. |

I though these ones were pretty good...
 
...have a slight bias on this one, but still thought it was very good and deserved much better...

Look at this... I felt that this shot should have finished a little higher..

This one barely broke 5.0 and finished 280th. I do not understand that :-(

I don't know if mine was particularly under-rated (it did make it to 5.1), but a lot of commenters got a laugh out of it, so I thought I'd post it for anyone who might have missed it the first time around.

yeah, this one I thought was really good, the only thing is that I bet a lot of people missed the two fishing on the bank, I know I almost did, too bad this hadn't been advanced, they could have done some dodging/burning or something to make the fishers stand out more |

These are two outakes above. I didn't trust my laptop to edit well enough for a challenge and I was right shown by the score on the one below. It could have had a better treatment(contrast, color etc) and a slightly better score. I was also concerned about entering the girl with the hat for fear of DPC myopia...the dreaded DNMC..."where are the straight lines"?

Wow this means alot! thanks Robert and Nathen. This one started my new outlook on challenges. I have decided to not care what I think DPC may like. I knew this processing may hurt my score but I liked it. I figure if i can't get some good scores then I might as well really like my shots.
Anyway glad to know that some people liked it, guess I will do zen after all. |
