This was taken with WW II in mind. The Muerice Hotel is at the end of this block on Rue De Rivoli (opposite the Tuileries Gardens) where the SS and some high ranking Generals had their headquarters. I could only imagine that the streets of Paris were about as lively as this when the Germans rolled in.

Images that remind me of World War I or II, like this one does for some odd reason - have some good meaning for me of late. Your Paris photos are interesting..
