So it's Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., and I'm watching the clock waiting for 9:00 pdt to arrive so I can see all the entries in the "Holy Places" challenge to see how I stack up. It's my second challenge and I am craving feedback like an addict craves his next fix. Can I crack a "5"? Maybe even "6"? Or am I so lame that I get another "4"?
I think this is going to become a problem. Is there a support group available if this gets out of hand? DPC-Anonymous? |

Oh dear, I think you have DPC syndrome! You are already craving the update button, get it NOW you know you need it!
Good luck with the challenge, am sure it will be a rollercoster for you ;)

What you're describing is a good, healthy addiction to DPC. Get some popcorn, a cold drink, sit back, and enjoy. If you do get the update button (with a membership), get some wrist protection and a reinforced, super heavy duty mouse button, one rated for at least 1000 clicks per hour. |

I heard about some 12-step program for DPC addiction, but I think it was too hard to get people away from the update button...

No kidding... My kids' Tuesday night tuck in has been reduced to that 15 minute rollover window... I have to get away from the 'puter, otherwise I hit refresh over and over, even though it says it will automatically refresh. |

Well, it's reassuring to know I'm not alone! (3 hrs, 12 mins and counting). |

My biggest gripe with the clock is that I need to see the seconds, its 30 clicks a minute that gave me a trapped ulna nerve!

Yeah, I remember being completely hooked for my first five or so challenges but after that it wares off a little bit. |

I bring my computer up, first sites that go up are my email and DPC...even when I don't have anything in a challenge. On those occassions, I sit there staring at the homepage lusting after the Update button.
If DPC rented space, I'd move in. I'm always here anyway. I still think we need T-shirts for the real addicts.

Pffft... if two hours goes by without me hitting DPC, I'm not near a computer. Give up now... it's a life sentence. |
