Welcome to week one. All 16 contestants have been given nearly free reign with the challenge "yellow".

You can find the brackets here thanks to Brent Ward.

A few interesting observations:

Looking at the Top 10 entries for each contestant, nobody seems to naturally gravitate to yellow. Only Ecce Signum has more than one entry which could qualify and Kiwiness is the only other entrant with even one. We all seem to enjoy shooting a certain look; Rikki with his orange, soup with his blue, but nobody seems to have a natural advantage in this one. With that said, see the results below for the last yellow challenge.

Brent claimed to have entered his shot one hour and two minutes after it was announced. Sign of inspiration or sign of folly?

The last Yellow challenge was held in December 2004. Pedro managed a 2nd place finish in that one with this shot. Cheekymunky managed to scratch out a 213th place finish (ouch). None of the other contestants were either around or chose to enter.

Predictions, encouragement, trash talking can all be posted here. The gate is open and the game is onâ€Â¦

He may be at a disadvantage here since his yellow entry may look orange. ;)

Thanks for that DrAchoo... it was only my 3rd challenge! I hoped that might slip under the Radar!

I got a wicked idea for this one, but need some help with props. So if anyone knows where I can get two playboy-bunnies and a bathtub of custard PM me...

You never played marbles? when I was a lad a Stonker was a big steel marble that wiped the floor with smaller marbles.

Mr Gooogle goes along similar lines ...

This comes from the verb stonker, which at one time could mean to kill, but is now the action of outwitting or defeating somebody. It is generally said that this in turn comes from an old Scots term stonk, originally and oddly the stake in a game of marbles. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the first recorded use of it was in John Jamieson’s Etymological Dictionary of the Scottish Language in 1841, in which he said that stunk was “the stake put in by boys in a game, especially in that of marbles”. According to the Concise Scots Dictionary, this is now only local Scots dialect, and it suggests the Scots got it from local English dialect (do try to keep up), which might have originated in stock, a store, presumably the bag or other container the marbles or money were kept in.

In simple terms shanksware at least you made the last 16 ;)

I found some inspiration in some of y'all's portfolios. Let's just say they haven't been among your highest scoring pictures...

I'll leave the pictures anonymous to protect the innocent...

If that isn't reason to try a little harder here...I'm not sure what is.

(This trash talk has been brought to you by people at Ecce Signum inc.)
