Wouldn't it be neat to reshoot one of your first 5 or so challenge entries for a challenge, to see how far you've come? I say first 5 or so because some of us have entries that we cannot duplicate exactly, such as sunsets, lucky moments, ect. |

I'll leave well enough alone thank you very much - I'm working on completing the bell jar curve in my entries. /\

I think this is a neat idea - but couldn't people figure out who did which picture? |

I almost did that because I've thought so often about how far I've come since participating at DPC. It would be so great to blow my own photo out of the water. Litterally.
1st entry
My last entry
and on that note, a HUGE THANX to the DPC family for helping out so much. (.....but you guys be the judge)

I think that is a great idea. Even if DPChallenge don't do make it a challenge. It would be interesting to start a thread and people could put there original and Re-shoot photograph next to each other. And we could comment on the Re-shoot. |

not a bad idea, just for fun and not a challenge.
besides, my first challenge i threw coins in the air and took pics of them with a timer and the cam laying on its back.. needless to say my cam has a few dents on it now. duh
all that for like a 4.5.. lol

Love this idea. I don't think people would know whose is whose, because most of us did so-so or worse at first, and who would remember? I doubt there are many that take the time to check out the authors of the lower scored pics. |

my first was my highest scoring... not the highest finish.. but it would be fun to resubmit them with a different crop and edit as well.
PS poor little piggy is sausage.. how sad =(

It will have to be soon. This site will be inaccessible due to snow likely by October. But I would love to re-shoot with my new gear just to see! Hell, I may anyway.

I happened to walk by the subject of my first entry so I took another photo of it. If you ask me, it still deserves the 4.7 it originally received. It just isn't such a special subject if you ask me and the light was just as crap as the first time. Seem to have oversharpened it a bit as well.
Perhaps some close up stuff would work, but that would be just reproducing someone else's artwork. In a way these do that too.
What's funny are the dpc filenumbers. The original is photo 3994 and the new one is 214415. Has this place grown or what?
Original first entry:
