Challenge Suggestion:

"Tilt"

We all know that diagonals in a composition help add a dynamic and depth to the image. Additional dymanics are sometimes added by tilting the camera while shooting. Try tilting your camera approximately 30-45 degrees when you make your photo.

I used to know someone who really fancied himself as a photographer, all he would do is take a snapshot but tilt it by 30 degrees or so to give it that arty feel. It got a bit monotonous, but yeah it's a good idea for people to have a go at if they've not tried it before.

I tried that in a challenge once and didn't get very good results... most people didn't like the camera tilt because it made them dizzy or sick. I liked it though. :o)

There are certain types of subject where the added dynamic is much stronger.

It doesn't work with all compositions. I like trying this as well. With yours, even though the image feels balanced I feel the tilt is in the wrong direction, the top of the building s/b in the top right instead of left.

Great idea. I think most of my shots would already fall under that category. :p

I've never once had a straight horizon out of the camera. I'm beginning to think my sensor is tilted.

:)
